Late, rude, and racist.

When you hire a moving company, you are paying for an easier moving experience than if you had to do it yourself.
Well this was not the case
They were late, rude, and racist!

They would't even put on shoe covers that I supplied for them unless I provided an additional $300, because the movers say they did not have enough time to put them on. I just merely did not want any dirt tracked in the new home and they were adamant about not wearing them unless I paid that horrendous amount. So my mother was becoming unhappy and the mover assumed she was saying bad words about him. He said, I know what she's saying because I know Japanese!!" I told the mover, "We are not Japanese.." He replied, "then what are you.." and I shook my head after because he crossed the line.

I am never ever hiring this company and I would STRONGLY DO NOT recommend anyone hiring them.

Would not recommend under any circumstances.

What started out as a fairly professional quote, turned into a very costly event. The final cost was $450 over and above the original quote. You can email me and I'll give you all the details. I won't waste any more time on this company. Suffice to say that you will not be treated well after you've made a substantial deposit. After that, they have your belongings. And with that leverage, they make sure that you pay much more than the original quote.   .

Official company response

Tom,

We apologize if the company miss treated you in any way possible and we did want to clarify and also respond to your complaint as we think that its only fair that future customer hear both sides of the story.

On moving day after the crew arrived and evaluated the amount of stuff on the original quote and amount of stuff in your daughters apartment it was brought to our attention that she wanted to add a few more smaller items to her original estimate, there was a small price adjustment for an additional of $126.60.

Upon reservation our sales representative had went over any kind of extra charges that can be added at the time of delivery for example if access will be denied with a semi truck or should we need to use more then 1 flight of stairs at delivery or if there will be a walking distance of more then 50 feet from where the truck is parked to your daughters apartment. In addition all paper work prior to moving with the company were provided and signed by you understanding and agreeing for the terms and condition of the company.

Once our movers arrived to deliver the items they had 2 options that they were able to utilize to attempt delivery and they did chose the fastest and most inexpensive option to your benefit.

The first option at delivery was to walk from across the street walk about 100 feet to 1 flight of stairs then take the elevator and have another 150 feet and then arrive at the apartment based on our contract the fees where spouse to be $300.00.

The second option was to again park across the street go from the back of the building which is a walking distance of 150 feet from were the truck was parked then go up 4 flight of stairs and again another 50 feet of walking distance finally arriving to the apartment, Also there was a problem with the door we were not allowed to leave it open all this time walking back and forth because it was just an exit door and the management did not allow us to leave it open for the security of other tents. This option would have cost your daughter $450.00 due to so many stairs and such a long walking distance.

Even though our contract stated these fees WE DID NOT CHARGE THEM you were charged only $150.00 for the first option which is half then what we are spouse to charge you.

The total amount of charges exceeding the original quote is $276.60 we think that we did everything in our power to reduce and save you as much money as possible and keep you within budget,

Please feel free to contact us back at anytime if you have any further questions or you would like to discuss this matter further we would always be more than happy to try to resolve this issue with you directly.

Thank You,

24 Hours Moving Inc.

Great move!

Great experience! Just recommended to my mother too! If I ever move in the future, I will definitely be using them again! The move was on time and all of my furniture was safe and just how I packed it. No damage or anything.  Thanks again 24 Hours Moving and thank you Sindy!! Also, this review is making me use 350 characters but I don't have much else to say. Just wanted to thank 24 Hour Moving Company for their fine work and professionalism.

It is a nightmare.

If you are using this company for moving, be sure you have detail records of your cu. ft volume or they would try to overstate the volume and scam for more moving cost. This person came back after loading all our household items into the truck and claim that the my load was 967 cu. ft. as shown in the estimated attached. After I protest the number and showed him my records of all the boxes, he went out for a few minutes, without doing another measurement and came back to agree on the original estimated quoted load volume which I strongly believe was still over than what it actually was. The difference would have been an over billed $673.20. Anyway, they would take any chance to over charge you, so be sure of knowing your load volume! It also took them 31 days from date of pick up to delivery. It is a total diaster! The salesman sold you on fast delivery, 3-14 business days transition time, but don't count on it, especially you are doing long distance interstate moving. They have to fill that 18 wheeler, no regard to people waiting on the other end without any of their household items. To top it all, my piano leg broke despite paying extra handling. Who knows how they handle your expensive item! They might stack boxes and others on top of the piano to make that extra dollar!  .

Charged more than actual.

While signing the contract with 24 hours they didn't mention anything in detail about the first flight. Later while picking up they are saying first flight means only 7 steps oh. Is there anywhere first floor having only 7 steps. What a logic. More than each 7steps they are charging 75 extra?? And packing they are charging extra everywhere everywhere everywhere everywhere everywhere everywhere they are charging extra. At last, they are charging 500 to $600 extra. Don't we know how much cubic feet? They will tell one number we have to pay. The same thing while delivering also.Don't believe the initial number which they are committed to shipping. Add minimum 500 to 600 extra upon that charge. Remember while pick up u need sign hell of paperwork, you will not know what they are charging for what extra. Finally don't ever believe initial estimate. They will park the truck purposely little longer than your place and ask extra money for long carry.   .

Service cost: $1615

Official company response

Mr. Ramesh,
We would like to properly answer your complaint and provide our answer as well.
Prior to reservation with our company our sales rep had explained to you that anything over 2 flight of stairs on moving day (14 steps) will be charged at $75.00 which you understood and had a long conversation with your sales rep, you also agreed and sign prior to booking with our company understanding the terms and conditions and polices for our company. the extra charges came from extra labor that needs to be preformed going up 3 flights of stairs with items which takes longer and such services are not included, these are set fees for most moving companies nation wide.
As fare as long carry we do provide the first 75 feet for free and every 75 feet after that will be charged at $75.00 which in your case you did have 1 long carry which we discounted and charged only $50.00, you also had 3 flights of stairs which we did not charge you for so you did receive a $100.00 discount for your extra service that you were aware and agreed prior to even reserving with our company. We pulled up your final contract and your first initial estimate that was provided to you over the phone, the phone quoted price was $1250.00 and you ended paying an additional of $181.00 totaling your shipment to $1431.00, the extra fees came from extra boxes you had added that were not on your original estimate and extra packing that was used to protect your items so they will not get damaged through the process, the packing cost you and again was discounted from $114.00 down to $56.00, an addition to that discount you received 4 free boxes from our company which we packed for you free of charge as well.

24 Hours inc is legally obligated to have you sign all documents that are provided to us by the D.O.T laws and regulations we know that it is an inconvenience and there are many of them to sign on moving day but that is out of our hands, in order for us to stay legal these documents are a must.
Our company had provided many discounts to satisfy you as a customer through the entire moving process we believe that we did everything possible to keep extra cost at a minimal for you but we are not able to provide free
Services for each extra cost that you incurred, we though we did our best to accommodate you every way possible.

Long-distance move from Oklahoma to Massachusetts

Late, unprofessional and money hungry.

Bad experience overall with this moving company 24 Hours Moving Inc from Dallas. Received a call from their sales person Sharon after I filled out an online form. The quote she gave me over the phone was around 1300. It was considerably less than the other movers (the reason the sales person quoted was because they were local movers & hence charged less). The movers came on time and since I had packed everything the move was quick. That is where the ordeal begins. The pick up guy mentioned that since the distance from the door to truck was over 50 feet they will charge additional 150 dollars. They put up everything in the truck and then mentioned that I will have to pay additional 40 dollars for because the volume is more. They had nothing to measure the overall volume occupied. Since they had put all the stuff in the truck, I had no choice but to pay it. The delivery men expected a heavy tip. The deliver time I was told by the company was 7-10 days. Again they insisted that it would reach in time because they do interstate moves from Dallas all the time. When my belongings didn't show up after 2 weeks, I called them up and they said the truck has just left and it should be there soon. They had me talk to the truck driver instead of following up with him directly. As a customer it is not my responsibility what the truck driver is doing. Anyhow, the stuff finally arrived after 21 days. Once the truck driver arrived, he immediately mentioned that the distance from truck to apartment is over 50 feet and he would charge additional $150 dollars. I told him if you can measure it for me I won't hesitate in paying it. The guy did not have any equipment to measure the distance. Instead he started measuring by counting his steps. I told him again that this is not acceptable since this won't be accurate. He said you can call the company directly. I talked to the owner o the company and instead of admitting his mistake of driver not carrying the measuring tape, he started insisting that his drivers have been doing it for years and they know how to measure by steps. Most unprofessional thing I have ever heard in my life. The guys would not unload the stuff to my house unless they had the money in their hands. Simply unacceptable. FInally I had to get my own tape and measured personally in the cold Boston weather the distance from the truck to the apartment. I honestly didn't sign up for this. Even after all this ordeal, the men expected a tip of some kind.Being out of cash, I instead offered them coffee personally. Overall I ended up paying apprx 350 dollars over their inital quote and had to deal with their ridiculous service. My advice, stay away from them and rather hire a well known company who atleast don't rip you off after inital promises.    .

Official company response

Mr. Abhishek,
First off I wanted to say thank you for using 24 hours Moving Inc, we sincerely appreciate your business. I am sorry to hear that you had a less than satisfactory move with us, as we strive for customer satisfaction from beginning to end. I have pulled your contract and have personally gone over all of your charges and see where you were charged $75 for a long carry at the pick up location, not the $150 you stated, as well as 30 cubic feet additional space because you did have additional items. At the destination you were charged $150 for 315 foot long carry instead of the listed price of $275. Unfortunately we cannot predict long carries unless the customer specifically tells us, which is hard for most customers since they either don’t have an exact destination when they book their move, or are unfamiliar with the location. Per our binding estimate that you, and all of our customers, signed before the move we do have listed any additional charges that may apply. As you can see these are NOT hidden charges, but unpredictable fees and we strive really hard to be as fair with our prices as possible, and work with our customers, as you can see we did in the long carry at destination, we waived $125 in fees. Most customers do not have these charges and we wouldn’t know until we get to the pickup or delivery location the exact distance from your door to the truck, that is why we do not have them included into the original pricing. I would be more than happy to send you a copy of any of these forms that you signed and acknowledged before the pickup with pricing and additional fee information. As with every moving company we do charge you for the space your items take up on the truck, unlike other companies we only charge you the rate per cubic ft on your original estimate, with no penalties. This is also clearly stated on the binding estimate. Once again I do want to apologize any inconvenience and misunderstanding.
Please feel free to call our office if I can clarify anything further for you, or if you have any other questions or comments and ask for Sindy.

Worst Shipping Company Ever!

Stay away!! Still holding my items hostage.  I arranged for them to ship from Florida to Ohio early Feb.  I requested for them to deliver my goods on Feb. 28.  They have lied to me every week saying that my shipment will be delivered.  Stay away..they will rob your money and goods.  They charged $1000 for pick-up. They are very much paid in full.  I am worried about even receiving my items at this point.  Kevin, the customer service rep, would not even let me speak to a manager.  My next step is to contact BBB and a lawyer if need be.  I will give them this week to figure this out.  I can't believe how incompetent they are.  I received my household shipment quicker from Korea using a different company.  I am shocked that they cannot figure out how to ship from Florida to Ohio!

Terrible Company from movers to Management.

Worst Moving company ever.  Were an hour late to start with.  Then decided to start adding on costs once the items were delivered to our new home.  The so called foreman of the job had only been a mover for 3 months, I find it hard to beleive this would be considered an exoerienced mover.  An $800 job ballooned to $1800!!  Please beware of this company.

Awesome and Kindly Service All the Time !

Hi,
I have recently moved from Alpharetta to Miamisburg,OH. From first sales call to final invoice delivery, the service was extra ordinary. I contacted two person in the company Sinday & Ben. Both are down to earth in service. I never expect this kind of service in a logistic company. They are following their promise all the time. Packing also very neat and professional. We had lot of glass items as kitchen utensils. I can tell you everything was safe and we haven't lost a single items. They are very calm and quick while packing and delivery time. They are always reachable to get track of our items. I have scheduled/re-scheduled multiple times due to my new apartment availability. They are very flexible on dates of delivery. Thanks Sindy and Ben for your extraordinary and kindly service. Keep the good work.

Thanks!

I wanted to thank everyone at 24 hours moving. I had a 2 bedroom apartment to move last minute I was scrambeling to get an honest moving company. After reviewing all these bad and negetive remarks on almost EVERY moving company located in the Dallas area I came a cross a 24 Hours Moving web site and reviews I was scared hiring someone over the phone but I really felt comfertable after getting information from a supervosir at the company she was always so nice and understanding and really worked with me and I can say now I was under so much stress and she just helped and calmed me down in every way posibble. On moving day everything went great the movers arived on time they were out in 3.5 hours did a great job very hard workers! My delivery arived about a week or so after I hoped maybe before but I knew that it may take a little longer so I was prepared. The delivery went just great I didint have acsses for a large truck so the company rented a truck for me and did the entire delivery for me which I think that was great I paid a little more but it was worth it! Again thank you I apericate all your help and you defenatly got my business next time I move. Sheri.

Do NOT use24 hours!!

Do NOT choose 24 hours!!   They provide the worst moving service! They got your money and they would not do the work they promised. If you choose a moving company for your big moving day, of course you will expect a fast, good-quality, friendly, less-expensive service. You will get nothing like those from 24 hours. They will give you a low price quote and promise they will give you good service. However, once you paid the deposit and you have to choose their service, they will start to charge you more and more and more… 24 hours provided the worst service. 1.       Deliver Speed. The company should change their name to 24 Days instead of 24 hours, since it is very misleading. You will not get prompt service from them. IT TAKES ME TOTALLY 12 DAYS TO GET MY STUFF. I knew they would not deliver your stuffs to your new place fast. Therefore, I asked 24 Hours to pick up my stuffs one week earlier before delivering day. However, on my delivering day, they told me my stuffs are still not scheduled for delivery. They are waiting for more customers to fill the truck and after that they can deliver my stuffs. I finally got my stuffs five days after I moved in my new apartment. ABF provided 3 days deliver guarantee. Think about the time you wasted and the money you have to spend on hotels while all your stuffs are stored in 24 Hours warehouse. Just for this reason, I should regret to choose 24 hours. 2.       Costs. I thought I could save money by choosing 24 Hours instead of ABF. I was totally wrong by the end. 24 Hours gave you a low price quote but they tried their best to suck your money during pickup and delivery. They have many unreasonable rules in their contract. Make sure you read it carefully. They charge me $550 more finally. They charged me $75 more because the stairs are more than 7 steps when pickup. They charged me around $200 more because they estimate my stuffs will take more spaces (I have the same stuff as in the price quote and the pickup guy told me my sofa and dining tables are larger than normal ones…). They charged me $300 dollars because the driver cannot drive the truck in front of my new house (I live in a new house with a two way road in front).   3.       Service. Their service is a joke. The worst service ever. They refuse to do the reassembling services and I got several boxes broken. My dining chairs were hit with scars. 24 Hours sent only two guys for delivery. The delivery guy had a very bad attitude. He is not helpful, not willing to do the basic work they promised. He just wanted to get the money, unload my stuffs and leave. The delivery guy could not drive in front of my house and asked me to pay $300 extra for delivering. I told him I need to call your company to talk about this. He told me “After you make the call, you will pay $375” and then he turned around and left. I agreed to pay $300 extra because I have wasted too much time waiting for my stuffs and I could not wait longer. The delivery guy asked me to pay all the balance first before he could unload my stuffs. I did that and confirmed with him that he would unload everything for me and reassemble my furniture. He told me it was part of their service. However, after they unloaded my stuffs, they refused to reassemble my furniture. I asked them why they did not keep their promise. they did not care at all. The delivery guy asked me to sign the paper work so that he can leave. I tried to call the company ask for an explanation. He told me it would not change anything and I was wasting my time. He even threatened me before I called the company that I refused to sign the paper and he was leaving…   I will never choose 24 hours again and I will tell people I know about my experience.  .

Long-distance move from Texas to Florida

My friend is right about recommending them because I will too.

My father just recently passed away. I loved him and my mother so much that's why I hate to see my mother so depressed. So I decided to move to Florida to be with her. It times of bereavement and in the process of moving. I want everything to be smooth and hassle free. I am in too much stress and I want my move not to add up on my stress. My friend knows someone from 24 hours moving inc. She gave me the number of the moving company and I called them to ask for pricing. I never searched or looked for other moving company because I am in time constraint and it was a friends recommended company, so I go ahead and scheduled the pick up. Prior to this, I talked to a lady (sorry forgot her name) from the moving company. We talked for hours in details and specifics of my move. I asked her from the additional charges to insurance and the timeframe. She answered it perfectly. The day of the move came and I am so speechless. They were good in their field, and they do their work so fast plus I saved money from my original quote but spend some $50 for additional flight of stairs. I still saved $50 USD after the charge. My employer did not allow me to resign in one week time so I need to delay the delivery for one week. They agreed with it as long as its not yet in the truck. Two weeks later my items were delivered in two destinations (one in storage unit and others on my mom's house). I love their service so I gave some tip. Like my friend, I will truly recommend them to my friends.

Long-distance move from Texas to Maryland

I am smiling the whole move time!

I was recommended 24 Hours Movinc Inc. from a friend. Personally, He actually haven's used the company but knew someone who experienced the companies service and provided great feedback. I had been looking around and moving companies to transport a 2br apartment from Dallas, Texas to the harbor in Baltimore. I had originally booked with another moving company, but once I spoke with Sindy at 24 Hours, I had to cancel. Se was so nice and helpful in booking me, and I was very pleasantly surprised with how much they offered. She gave me a $2703 estimate and came out $3010 hundred actual. Once the movers came, they run over me what they will do and what should be done and what are the contents of our contract and started moving quickly and efficiently. Delivered without broken belongings arrived Baltimore, and they were able to transport a carry a couch up 2 flights of narrow and almost dangerous stairs. The movers themselves were really nice; their appearance matters to me too since they wore uniforms with company information in it. That makes me relax since I know this company is real and professional. would definitely use them again.

Mixed Review.

My items were just delivered August 18th, 2013.  My moving experience with 24 Hours Moving, Inc. was a mixed one.  The initial sales rep Michael was good.  The crew that worked under Tom did a great job!  They were nice, worked really hard, and deserved the tip they received.  I was also highly impressed and appreciative of Melissa Lilly, who helped me set up the delivery date.  Throughout that process, even through requests to change the date, she exhibited great customer service..from her promptness to her wonderful attitude.  Her supervisor, Sindy Rosado, was nice too.  The overall price was also good compared with other companies. Tony (one of the delivery guys) was great!  He has great people skills and work ethic, and seems to be a big asset to the company. What made my experience with 24 Hours Moving, Inc. a mixed one was the customer service issues with the delivery rep, Roger.  To be honest, Roger did some good things such as working with me on the parking of the truck and the positioning of the items in the apartment.  The problem I had with Roger was his attitude at numerous points throughout the delivery.  When I let him know that my computer desk needed to be assembled, he acted as if he didn't want to do it (although he did do a good job of putting it together).  When I let him know that a line item on the inventory list was missing and I wanted to locate it, he got an attitude about it as if I was inconveniencing him by wanting to go through the property again.  His time schedule seemed to be the top priority.  Roger also mentioned that the foreman (during the pickup) may have made a mistake concerning the missing item, implying not to make a big deal about it.  To his credit, we did go through the list again to ensure it was missing.  We also searched the truck again.   Overall, Roger did do some good work, but his lack of professionalism at more than one point during the delivery process left a bad taste in my mouth.  He was in "rush mode" to the point where I felt like a bother for even asking questions or wanting to double-check something.  I understand time is a factor, but customers shouldn't feel like they are wasting a company's time if they have a question or issue.  There is no company without a customer.  I've even thought about writing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau because of what happened during the delivery.  24 Hours Moving Inc. seems to be a good company overall, as noted by the good people and pricing I encountered.  Unfortunately, one person can hinder an otherwise good overall experience.     .

From Texas to Florida, a move to remember!

I just wanted to let you know that my items were delivered last week to our new home in Florida. The experience we've had in moving out of texas with 24 Hours Moving Inc. has been A big relief. Your guys lessen the hassles and stress that we usually experience during move. We move most of the time due to my husband's nature of job. Although we encountered some minor issues with our furniture, You gladly helped resolve our issues with the furniture deliveries, assisted us in packing and storing my boxes and additional furniture at no extra charge and were very professional in every sense. I will be referring your company to all my friends and colleagues who will be moving from Dallas area.

Long-distance move from Texas to New Jersey

I rushed them and they delivered it..beyond my expectations.

I am a manager of an IT company in Plano and the company recently expanded and opened a new office/data center in New Jersey. They chose me to head the satellite office and I need to move as soon as possible. I asked my friends who moved out of Texas for a moving company and 3 of them gave the same company. The 24 hours moving inc. They recommended them for having polite people, giving good price, professional work and customer service is courteous.
I called them and gave them my requirements of an immediate move. I gave them the specifics of my items and to make everything sure they sent someone to do the estimates again.
In the end we got their service, they came early for pick up and they worked on packing and wrapping everything. They have the materials and equipment and they never left any single scratch or trash from where they work.
The delivery went well too. We got an additional charge for steps on stairs but it's fine with us. In anyway it's stated on the contract that they can incur charges in some instances. I gave big tip for the guys who did the job (a driver/foreman 4 guys). Like my friends I will recommend them for sure.

Move From TX to MD **Five Star Service Overall**.

MY first time experience with 24hours Moving overall was an excellent one.  My sales Consultant, David in the Dallas, TX location was very customer service oriented and prompt in aswering questions/returning calls.  I was slightly experiencing a little concer about when my furniture was in transit from Texas to Maryland with driver, but in the log run it worked out well.  The driver kept me posted at each of his destinations drop off.  Melissa, who worked with dispatch durig the transition was excellet in keeping me posted via email and call. The driver made it to my place at the expected time that he provided and nothing was damaged. I applaud the movers who provided the full service in wrapping up my furniture - they were professional and courteous.  I will ot hesitate to use them again I the futre if need be and will highly recommend them to family and friends.  More importantly, the price provided to me and going over it, when my furnture was picked up, there was no change in my balance.  Tipping for the outgoing and incoming services was well worth it. .

Long-distance move from Texas to Michigan

I am glad I believed good testimonials of this company!

I am not a person who likes moving all the time. As much as possible I will stay in one place once I get settled, but my current situation leads me to move. I got laid of from my Job and needs a new company to work in. I found the best one in Michigan. I know how stressful moving can be and I don't want additional stress from dealing to a wrong company. Since I don't know anyone whom can refer any good moving company, I looked in Google and found some good companies(I based it on customer ratings and testimonials). Four came to our house and provided some estimates(that includes 24 Hours Moving Inc).24 Hours Moving gave me the least price. That's why I chose them to move me. Sindy, the agent assisted me in the process and scheduled the pick-up of my belongings. Well, I can say the pick-up is not that smooth as I thought so but they assured me my stuffs will be taken care of. Anything broken or missing will be replaced by the company. They made inventory of the items and let me check its status before they load it to the truck. In the end, when they delivered it after a week from pick-up, My items are in good condition. Although the pick-up is not smooth I am happy the delivery went good. Joseph, the driver came in with 3 guys and they worked and never stop for any lunch break or snack just to finish loading it to our new home. And yes I gave a tip..they respected me and my family and never seen arrogance.

Long-distance move from Texas to California

I made sure to give time to make this review for all.

I don't usually make reviews for any services I get. It's not because I don't get a good service but because I am always busy but this time I made time to make this review. The reason were too many but summing it up I am very pleased with their service on my recent move. When I called them I knew they were good company because of the politeness they showed on our hour long conversation. They gave me options to choose for my move and I got the one I think is the best for me. They also packed all in very secured manner. They also send respectful and hardworking personnel to do the packing and pick up. They finished fast but looking at their output it was very commendable. What I am mostly appreciative is their delivery personnel. He is not just polite, he was also witty and very intelligent. Gave me a lot of tips on my online business and shared his experiences on motorcycle assembly. His crew were also fast and very patient. I had them move my furniture and they just kept complying with smiles on their faces. I am glad I hired them. Thank you 24 Hours moving.

Long-distance move from Texas to California

Worst experience ever had.

I really had a worst experience with them. I am really surprised by seeing this kind of 4 star rating. I am sure their own people wrote these reviews. Beacuse its not only me who suffered, I have friend who also had similar worst experience with them. Also if you want know properly about them go to "Better business bureau" website and look at the complaints on them. I myself filed one but yet no response from the company. Once they get your belongs they try to extort you for money in different possible ways. They make you sign the agreement with really different terms than what they mention in their online or telephone quote . All the terms and conditions are favorable only to them. Can you imagine a condition which says that the final delivery date could take a maximum of upto 30 "BUSINESS" days from the day we mention our exact destination. Also another condition says that there is 7 or 15 days grace period for them beyond those 30 days. Also I wonder if there is any apartment community or a home neighborhood which has a parking for 14 wheeler truck. And they charge an additional shuttle cost due to lack of that parking while delivery. When I said additional amount don't think it will be 100 or 200 bucks. They don't mention any fixed price or rate in the conditions and they just charge as much they like. They start  from 500. For me he asked $550 for shuttle. Also they say that they will bring professional movers to pick up and deliver your items but believe me they bring illegal workers. Also they don't even take care of your belongings well. I did even start on pricing. They give you a different quote and once they reach you they will charge a different one. They will make sign the agreement by speaking very politely to you and telling that this is not the final price and once the load the stuff they will charge based on the cubic feet your stuff occupied. But once they load the truck they don't measure it nor they would let you step inside the truck to measure it. They will say its exactly the same number of cubic     feet as they mentioned earlier. And if you dispute it, they will threaten you saying that either you take it at that price or pay for the cancellation and for labor on per hour basis for loading and unloading. And they will only unload the truck if you pay them upfront as much they demand.

Long-distance move from Texas to Washington

My family was happy to receive all in good state.

They move my family first week of this month. Got too many valuables and one of them was my daughter's Piano. I paid extra for additional care and for crates and scaffolds be put around it while in the truck for shipment so there will be less or no damage. The delivery justifies the heart of their people to serve customer at their best because, although I expected that I would'nt be able to receive the piano in 100 percent good state I was surprised when it arrived perfectly. I was so happy so as my daughter. I will definitely refer them to my friends.

Most Horrible Experience of my Life. do Not Hire Them.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. I am now convinced that these "4" star ratings are actuallly fake --- someone else on here mentioned going to their BBB file -- I suggest you do that before hiring them. PLEASE do not make the same mistake I did. I'm convinced all these reviews on here are COMPANY workers making themselves look good.
Typical bait and switch tactics, for one. They quoted me $1100 and when they showed up, price changed to $2600. They did NOT listen to me, started hastily packing items without my permission or guidance. Resulted in them packing a ton of things that I didn't want or need. The man told me I could have things organized so that I could have things sorted into two groups, then retracted his statement. Then, didn't deliver my items for about 3.5 weeks. They wouldn't tell me when they were coming, you're supposed to just wait until they want to show up, and you better be available. They delivered it the day before Thanksgiving and I was going out of town for the holiday and they would not work with me AT ALL. Also, come to find out -- you can't use a credit card for delivery, even though my original mover told me it would be fine. So I had to go through this huge struggle of getting a $2000 cash advance from my credit card --- it can't be a check or bank money order. Has to be a POSTAL money order. Like I said, this would have been fine if my movers didn't lie to me initially and tell me otherwise.  Finally, my stuff arrived and they wanted to charge us an extra shuttle fee, yadda yadda. The mover was NOT helpful at all, thankfully I had a friend to help me move stuff. He unloaded but moved NOTHING.
**Best part of the story: they also damaged one of the chairs that goes with my antique dining room table. YEP, it was a family heirloom, NON-replaceable, table originally cost $2000 with all the chairs. And they snapped the arm of off one of the chairs. COMPLETELY SNAPPED IT OFF. Now, have to jump through hoops trying to get a claim, which is $0.60 per pound that they will reimburse. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. EVER. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE! .

Long-distance move from Wisconsin to Illinois

Worst company ever seen or dealing with.

This is the worst company. They rob the people off, it's a mafia. Please listen to me. Don't ever use or deal with them. I think they write the good reviews about them self. They charge me an extra 4000$ or otherwise they won't deliver my stuff. So I had to pay them. The workers were mean, treating my family. On top of that, I had 5 broken stuff. Unhelpful workers - the driver wanted to fight with everyone. He's making him self the expert and he don't know nothing. They pick their workers from Craigslist, that's what the workers told me. Even they stole most of my stuff and I had to wait 1.5 weeks for them to come after calling me and trying to rob me off over the phone by changing a lot of things in the deal by saying a lot of [EDIT] and lies.

Long-distance move from Texas to Washington

Dont look any further, these guys are the best!

My experience with 24 Hours Moving started about a month ago, when I was getting quotes to move to Washington. I probably spent 2 weeks getting information & quotes from over 20 moving companies. I got so many phone calls & emails, and felt like I wasn't getting my questions answered fully and wasn't being given all the facts by the salespersons from other companies.  This was my first big move and I needed someone to help me, not confuse me. Both the salespersons I spoke with, Jay and Joe took the time to explain everything completely and answered all my questions. The made it clear what to expect and they also explained why some of the quotes I was getting from other companies seemed too good to be true and what information the others were not telling me. To make me feel more comfortable, Jay offered to schedule a person, to come to my house and give me an accurate quote of my move. The guy that came out, Michael, was so patient and helpful. He went over everything with a "fine tooth comb," regarding my move and what would happen. He guaranteed to be there on the day of my move, and as promised he was. The movers came in the morning, packed and loaded my entire house that day. Not like other companies had told me. It would have taken 2 or more days to pack and load everything.  I received my things 2 weeks ago. After unpacking everything, I was amazed that everything arrived safely. The only thing that was damaged was a leg on my dresser. Those moveres were so wonderful, they had someone come to my house, pick up the dresser, have it repaired, and brought it back in 2 days! It was amazing! I had actually purchased a full replacement insurance for my items, and because these guys are so great, I didn't even have to file a claim. Trust me when I tell you, you don't need to look any further. These guys are in one word, professional.        .
